a silver lining to those clouds ?
on: November 13, 2012, 12:57:02 PM
Anyone that knows me could tell you i'm NOT a fan of cold weather, and winter depresses the hell outta me !
and looking out the window tells me that Winter is definitely on it's way ! although it is getting harder here in the UK to tell the difference
but I digress....
what I am pleased about is all the coats and heavy clothing allows for MORE pocket carrying options :D
how much more 'hardware' do the rest of you carry in the winter months , if any?

I wear cargo shorts through most of the summer so I generally have all the pockets I need to carry what I want.

Winter gear gets pretty heavy here so I'm more about what I can leave at home in the winter than what extra can I take with me.

Leave the dents as they are- let your belongings show their scars as proudly as you do yours.

Same here, at least when working. I usually use a cargo vest for most of my gear during warm months, but it just doesn't fit when I have to bundle up. I have to cut down to the bare essentials for carry, and everything that won't fit goes in the toolbox. And I hate carrying the toolbox.

I plan on my normal edc, but with another light added as it gets darker sooner. But I'm with dks still mostly cargo shorts and a t-shirt like normal. That why I love southern california :)

We had exactly... zero days with 27 ºC or warmer this summer here. Back to topic, I sometimes carry a belt pouch (with a larger SAK than usual) in winter, since it's easier carrying a pouch discreetly in winter clothing.

With the early nights, I pack a much more substantial light. Usually a Fenix PD32 or Jetbeam IIIM.
