Wenger SI vs Pioneer blade shapes
on: November 30, 2012, 08:06:15 PM
I read somewhere (cannot remember where) that the Wenger SI differs in blade shape from the Pioneer.  Can anyone tell me how because they both look identical to me.

Thanks in advance!

The SI blade has slightly more 'belly' to it as does the Farmer. I'm sure there's a SOSAK article about the differences somewhere.

I'll have a look........................

I know there's a thread or a post about that somewhere around here because I remember someone posting a side by side comparison.

To find it though..

Well I'm at work and at a loose end for a few minutes and today I took delivery of a beautiful new Wenger SI which I am very impressed with. One of the few Wengers that beats its Vic equivilant (in my opinion)

Sounds like a situation made for some advanced google usage. :D

I agree on the SI though, they seem very nice. One of the few Wengers that I'm a bit tempted by. That and maybe an EvoWood of some sort.

Oooh, an Evowood! Nice...

Wenger seem more adventurous than Vic and should be applauded for that. I wish Vic would incorporate the Wenger locking flathead screwdriver - Genius!

I'm guessing the patent used to stop them. Now that they actually own Wenger however.. >:D
