Tax time soon in the US
on: December 10, 2012, 12:13:49 AM
With the approaching tax time coming, what do you plan to get? I'm planning on a new vehicle (new to me that is) and perhaps if there is enough left, some multis, and the ever popular SAKs alox of course  :)
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Yea, not in the US but I also have to pay each year. The smurfs take 60% of everything I earn extra back in taxes. (They take as much from my regular earnings too)

Tax time, not a favourite time of the year for me. :(

Truth be told, I should be fine; I should be getting some back, actually, but I'll not hold my breath on it.

I plan on not having to chip in more. I hope to not get audited.

If I get anything back, probably going to throw it in savings and pray nothing comes up to take it away.  But as the world turns, it will most likely get spent on some bill or pop up problem that wasn't there until there was money to cover it.  I am still spending money on my Daughter's ambulance ride from when she was born.  Smurfing insurance company won't cover a 7 mile code 3 ambulance ride on a newborn.  Luckily they covered the NICU bill.  You don't want to know how much THAT was...

But she's here, alive and well, and that's all that matters.

Paying down our credit card debt... which we rather hope to kill off by mid-2013.

It sucks trying to be fiscally responsible. :(

If I owe taxes they tell me immediately... If I am owed money they take a couple of years to give me the money back...

If that's the case then I suppose none of us are getting anything back!  :P

Whatever I get back I'll put against the new Jeep.  I took it over seven or eight years even though the interest rate is higher simply because I am paranoid about higher payments.  I'd rather make small payments over a longer period and throw any extra I get at it to pay it off sooner.  Or I'll spend it on the house- there's always something to do in a house...

well each month i like to give a few hundred pound to people better off then me, be it either the bankers who love being bailed out by the average joe. Or the stay at home teenage mum and boyfriend with 3 kids living in a lovely house taking home twice as much as me a year simply because they're too lazy to do anything with there lives other then sit at home all day watching sky or claiming various benefits.
