I noticed it when I first got mine so I bent the file so it wouldn't scrape the pliers head.
I have this problem with the Std. SwissTool, but the black one doesn't have it. Also, i found that file in the black ST is thicker than in the silver one.Carlos
My STD. 1998 model has the same problem.. But my 05 RS, STD, and X all don't have it!

Similar to Corrugated, on my RS it is solidly in place!
OMG! You are totally righ talt! I amking about my X model.... That is my bad!!!! I always get the X and RS mixed up!
Do the newer Swisstools have thicker files without the problem while the older ones have thinner files with the problem? If so, what year(s) should I look for or avoid?
My ST is an 05 model and I have never noticed this but now it has been mentioned I will have to get into work to pick it up and check I left it after taking it in to put new desks together but this will drive me nuts 'till I get to find out Did somebody say obsessive !
