Origin/Age of the "Economy" Tang Stamp?

I picked up a couple "Scouter" Recruits to give as gifts, and they got me wondering about the age of the ECONOMY tang stamps that they have.  Does anyone have any information that might help me date these VSAKs? 

I am happy to provide pictures if it would be helpful.

Merit Badges Participants shall carry and use one Soldier knife, the model of their choosing, for the duration of the 90 days and post a picture each day. For folks who may not be totally familiar with the Scouter Recruit, I took some pics of mine.  I bought these to give as gifts to two adult leaders who have been mentors to my own son (adult volunteers are known as "Scouters" in BSA-speak).  But I'm on the hunt for a good one for my own collection, so if you have one you wouldn't mind parting with, please get in touch.  :)

The little sheaths you see are things I made for the knives.  I used shell cordovan leather, for anyone who is wondering.
