And I was sure the envelope contained some "parts" harvested by Lorena Bobbit.

That's a gorgeous bit of kit :tu:

I really like the fact that's it's engraved, and probably meant a lot to someone years before you got your hands on it :)

It would be cool and interesting to learn the life and travels of that knife.  Great collector piece for sure :tu:

Really nice there mate!

I really wish they still made them like this to be honest. And preferably not just as a colector's version that people won't be able to afford (well except people around here who'd still buy them ) but as a regular model. I know I'd buy one.  :D

Y'know, it's really funny you should say that - because I would buy one too.
I think it could work fantastically well in our modern 21st century world - especially for camping. As you all know here in the UK locking knives are illegal. But this original Soldier should be okay.
I bought Marios's Old 39 Soldier that he listed a while back on his website - Thumbs up to tattoosteve99 for that, otherwise I would never have known).

And was deeply concerned that buying an old (74yrs) knife, things would be either loose, sprained, rusted etc etc. Marios, to his credit informed me all was well.
When it arrived I couldn't believe it. It really is a testament to Victorinox. Incredible quality, everytool simply snaps out and then snaps shut - no lateral movement whatsoever.
I am so attatched, it lives alongside a few Stan Shaw gems  - away from all the other MT's SAK's.

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.
