Charge OHO mod (Saw & File)
on: January 24, 2013, 01:23:36 AM
Has anyone modded the Saw and File to be true OHO?

Right now, they are merely 'outside-accessibe', but hard to deploy with one hand.

I'd like small thumb holes on the saw & file similar to the two blades.

Of course, also would like some Rebar'esque wire-cutters on it! (if you're listening, leatherman!)

I think metropolicity did both if I'm not mistaken, though I don't think it was on the same tool

Probably wouldn't too hard with the right tools. The Charge looks like it is ready and waiting for this mod.

Don't know if you'd want to make a hole in your file, though... Will make the surface quite a bit smaller, maybe?

Would a thumb stud work on either of these?

Yah, the file is less a OHO tool, but the saw I can see where it could be useful.

The thumbstud would get in the way of the saw stroke I think? I know a bunch of saw designs with a thumb opening slot.
