You what feels nice? Not having the funds to run out and grab a bargain, only to GET the funds a few days later, have the item cost EVEN LESS....AND be the last one in stock!

Awesome.

Also, I now have a Wingman again. And a Style CS. :tu:

Need to stop by tomorrow and see if the local store has any. I already have and love a Wingman, but for $20 I'll definitely grab a backup.

Been thinking about putting the scissors in a Wave, so that's another excuse...

So the real question is, with prices like that (less than $10 per tool) do we move the wingman and sidekick threads to the cheep and cheerful forum? :pok:

I had been thinking about looking for Leatherman that would accept a pocket clip. I have been wanting to try a tool with a pocket clip. Then I saw this thread and check  to see if the Wingman would accept a pocket clip.  Went to my local store they had the clearance Wingman in stock so I picked one up. I can not go wrong at this price. Now off to get a pocket clip.
Funny thing is I pay almost that much for my Style CS, now I have a spare
Thanks for the heads up!  trouthunter

Good score!  :tu:

I do believe that the Wingman comes with a pocket clip out of the box.

I put mine into my edc rotation, it has most of my wave tools & after loosing the charge im a little gun shy about loosing something. if it works out ok, I may move the wave to the glove box or something still not sure.  If i have enough $ I still wouldn't mind getting a spare & trying to mod the scissors for a swap into the wave.

Chris777, I think the Wingman scissors are a serious downgrade from the pair already in the Wave.

Here's a link to my scissor test with the results.

Tried a second home depot. The wall of tools had the wave and both wingman skus. The single piece and the double gift pack. The price tag on the peg was 30 dollars. On a hunch I checked a register and it came out to 20. Zing. Then I found ten dollars outside.

I got one the other day. Tried a different store today.  All sold out.  Now selling the plain wingman for $30.  Pass.

I looked in the tool section at the multitools first. The Wingman was there on the wall for $29.99 so I was bummed. Then while walking out, at the front of the store was aa cardboard display with the combo pack,  with a sign "Clearance $20".  So a big smile came over my face.  :D

I think the Wingman is an utter bargain at $15 (even not counting the other tool). I think it's WORTH $20, or thereabouts. I paid $27 for the first one I bought, and thought that a tad high. $30 ain't happening.

Longbow... yep, same with me. Right in the bargain area, near checkout.

Stopped by today, they had three of the $20 packs left. I grabbed one.

They had the Wingman by itself priced at $35, which I thought was funny.

Yeah, looking around at the stores in my area, it seems the going price for a Wingman is now $30, although in the past year I noticed them occasionally as low as $20.

At $30, I'm not enthused. At $20, I'm pretty pleased. At $20 with a Style CS... Bargain!

I tried so hard to like both of these tools  I really did like the package opener on the Wingman but that's it :tu: I guess for even $30 it's a steal  The kids all love their Wingman & Style CS though :tu:

I snagged a wingman/style combo pack at HD today and then discovered that Sam's club had the exact same combo for $14.91. Guess the HD one is going back!

I haven't given them a heavy test yet But the outboard position rendering them as quick to get to as the knife trumps the waves dig it out open pliers open scissors, short of needing something heavy duty.   They have their issues don't get me wrong.  But given the price point and the use the wingman has impressed me I've edc'd it for several days now with no issues so far that make me think oh no If I'd only had the wave. With lots and lots of so glad I don't have to  go through the hassle of opening the waves scissors.
I wish they would make it more like the surge not as bulky, but who knows now it has removable blades on the pliers I might have to look into going all out with a surge.

make sure you're looking else where besides the tool section where they normally would be.  4 occasions i saw the deal on the main tool section, the other half on pegs on a random aisle, such as the lighting department.

have some time to kill and go up and down each aisles FTW.

I've found them on random end caps, never in the tool section.
