I am a lucky, lucky guy. The scissors on my CS4 are great. I cut many different things including zip ties with no problems. The only MT scissors that I like more are on the Surge and Style CS. The Juice scissors are durable too. The scissors are the tool I use most and my CS4 has been my EDC for several years now.

A good set of scissors will cut a zip tie, but I'd worry that one slip could bend the shears apart. I'd like to see a good set of side-cutters on a multi-tool, but they seem to be about as rare as hen's teeth.
