 Hi :D

My name is stew and I finally got round to joining after mention on British Blades about this thread:

Awesome stuff and it had me intrigued as to how it was done with torx construction as I like to tinker a bit too.  ;)

I'm a hobbyist knifemaker and the SAK stuff that's worth a mention is an Alox swap to green micarta....

They're just torx screws. I made fresh liners out of titanium for them to tap into as i hadn't considered drilling out all the pivots to fit barrel pins - that would have been a bit more work but a better idea.

I've had the same problem... mine was solved by a homoeopathic approach rather than pharmaceutical.

Eventually the forum that loves you the most makes you a mod, then you have much less time to go and play in the others! ;)
