In Europe,

I think CAMP (?Austrian or Italian company? ), Mammut (Swiss) or Petzl (French) would be the major players in carabiners.  Black Diamond may have a bit of presence, but I doubt Omega Pacific is over there.

Omega Pacific?  Is that expensive compared to black diamond
In australia we have all the other brands

 
They're a small company of Oregon (I. Think?).  They have some different method for production that they came is strongern(?extrusion or something).  I just like their large coarse knurled screwgates.

Ok, I've bought my first ever carabiner that I've wanted for ages and don't knw what to use for yet It's very cheap, so it will mainly be used as an accessory or sth until I either get tired of it or find some use for it

learned a lot from this thread!!! I only used Carabiners for my jungle hammock...i guess i'll buy a few more
