I'm going to try to do a beamshot comparison between the E01, the ARC AAA-P Snow and the Gerber IU this weekend.

I would consider the E01 more durable than the Gerber IU.  The finish is tougher (HAIII vs. Type II ano).  The body of the E01 is only two parts, where the Gerber is three (more if you include the contact plate and springs).  The LED is recessed more in the E01 also.  The walls of the E01 are quite thick for such a narrow tube, and I've never been too keen on the thickness (thinness?) of the Gerber's tailcap.

If I were comparing durability of the ARC and the Fenix it would be nearly a tossup, with possibly a slight edge given to the Fenix for its anodized threads.  The ARC is a well-proven design however, and the E01 of course is not.

I should also mention that the GS LED in the E01 has a much better tint than the CS in the Gerber IU.  The Gerbers are blue in the center with a greenish spill, whereas the E01 is just slightly purplish in the center with a warm white/yellowish corona and spill.

My Gerber has been through the wash twice now- and maybe on it's third as I can't find it at the moment.  It very well could be in the laundry!  It still works though!

it's not dark yet, so I can't really do beam shots yet.

initial impressions, nicely made, very good knurling (easy to turn with one hand)
the colors are good, though it's daytime, the is some serious purple/blue tint in
the spot, I'll know better tonight.

For the price, well worth it :)
