New Guy from Oregon
on: February 09, 2013, 01:15:28 AM
Greetings from Oregon!
My journey to this site began when a friend said I should look into a Leatherman Pruner. I use a set of pruners while hunting elk in the thick and nasty brush of the Oregon coast. I surfed up the product and found information about a Leatherman Vista Pruner. I liked what I saw and figured I would find a source, order online, pay and receive. Apparently not so easy since the product has been discontinued. My continued search landed me here. I signed up and searched for the illusive item and found some older threads. I sent a brief note to Bruce909, and received a very informative response within a very short time. While I am still seeking a Vista or Hybrid for use while in the field, I may have stumbled in to a site that could become an addiction. I can see where a person could be lured into the dark side of Multi-tool collecting. The good news is that they are smaller than fishing rods or shotguns and much easier to smuggle into the house without being noticed. Thank you Bruce909 for your kind response to my first inquiry into the world of Multi-tool enthusiasts.

Hello Orion! Welcome to the forum! This is a great place of helpful people and I assure you that multitools are very addicting! I hope you find the pruners you want, I think there is a pair at my local True Value so if no one else offers some I will go see if they're still there.

Howdy from Texas Orion!¡! I hope your search ends in finding that elusive tool. I'm fortunate to have one and use it often while hunting, especially on turkey hunts where I have to tuck into a bush quickly and snip branches.

G'day & welcome Orion  :D :D

Hopefully you will be able to nab yourself a Leatherman pruner multi
I think the Vista's are a bit more common that the Hybrid's

Welcome aboard.   :tu:

Be warned, there are lots of "enablers" here, with all sorts of tips to help you fall deeper into the hole (dark abyss ?) of MT addiction.  I've heard some even get their MT's delivered to their work address so their family remains ignorant about all their new acquisitions, and running a positive PayPal balance so no pesky hard-to-explain transactions appear on their credit card accounts.  Not that I would ever advocate such sneaky techniques myself  :pok:
