Vics with dutch prints
on: February 14, 2013, 01:50:22 PM
Spotted these in my favorite local knifeshop. Five different scenery: Delfts blue pottery, Grassland with cows, Zaanse Schans windmills, Tulips, and Amsterdam canal.  :)

Very cool! Where do you live Wootz and which store is that :pok:

Is that a Wenger Heritage knife in the first pic?

Yes it is :)

They also had the 111 damascus and the fattest 91mm.

I'm sure you know the shop: "The Old Man"   :B:

Ah, yes I know them. Last time I was there was ages ago.

Which fat 91mm did they have? An XXLT by any chance?

Hey this is a nice one: http://hardware.theoldman.com/shop/53/2/24/102/0/0/0/143103/PocketTool_Military_5V0_8473_3MW
The number seems wrong though, 0.8473.3MW should be a Parachutist

I had a nice talk with the sales guy who told me that they have the biggest collection knives and various other cutting tools in Holland. Just a small assortment SAKs. The website is not showing any dutch handmade customs. I saw some amazing $1500+ smurf!

And if you look closely in the vitrines, a few hidden gems covered in dust..

You should really visit them again. Just leave your creditcard at home.  :D

Very nice!

Was in "The Old Man" on my trip to Holland some years back. They had an Damascus Pioneer for list price. Figured I'd pick up one for less when I got home. Got home two weeks later and there wasn't a Damascus Pioneer to be had. :ahhh
