Scissors in a Rebar?
on:
February 18, 2013, 09:42:00 PM
I don't have a Rebar so help me out here. I was wondering if it would be possible to put scissors on a Rebar instead of the large flat driver. I know the thick base on the plier head has caused problems with putting it in waves because of the scissors thumb stud. So is it possible to put scissors in a Rebar?

In short no.
I tried 4 different ways. It was discussed at length but I can't seem to find the thread.

You do seem like the person to listen to here! I am still going to do some research though

Is there any other Leatherman scissors, made for one of the many, many models, that might fit?

That was my first question when I got one, then I gave up on the idea and sold it!
It would be great to see it done though

Hmmm..... Holding my Compact and Rebar next to each other... Maybe Vic 91mm (or 84 or something like that) In place of one of the 'outside' tools? So it folds besides the pliers?

I was thinking about removing the serrated blade. I don't like to lose tools, but I use scissors more than serrated blades

Maybe squirt scissors would fit? But I don't have a squirt so I really don't know

Not sure. There isn't a lot of material around the pivot on the squirt scissors.
The hole is only 1/8"

That is a small hole. I wonder if there is enough material to drill it out. Isn't it almost the same length as the flat driver?
