The Victorinox Oath of Rutli is special collector's 91mm Swiss Army Knife that commemorates the historic oath of the Swiss Confederacy at Rutli in 1291 (Rutlischwur). This model was released in 1991; it was the seventh, and last, member of the Swiss Battle Series that commemorates the alliances and the battles that gave birth to the nation of Switzerland.
The tool configuration resembles the Mechanic, but with a corkscrew, instead of Phillips screwdriver, on the back. The tweezers were omitted on all of the "Battle Series" knives to allow the entire scale to be used for the battle scene inlay. The Oath of Rutli also omits the toothpick. This is the only member of the Battle Series to use red Cellidor scales, and to come packaged in a red wooden box.
Each of the battle series knives are limited to a production of 9999 pieces and are individually serialized with a matching serialized certificate of authenticity. The knife is packaged in a wooden presentation box containing the certificate of authenticity, and includes a small booklet with a brief description of the event and the history of Victorinox in German, English, and French.

  Yikes! 

  Was that more due to weight or the insurance? Was planning on sending something abroad, if only resources would improve.

  Oh, thanks for the story there. Helps to understand the reasoning of the knife's creation. Might be more sentimental to one of Swedish decent. Good luck in the sale.
