Need help for 91mm
on: March 21, 2013, 07:42:19 PM
First time dismantling a 91mm Sak... I have a 2005+ Huntsman and I'm trying to build a 2layer with the saw, cap lifter(I prefer this tool to the combo), awl and blade.

Can I put the main blade opposite to the cap lifter, how? If not, how can I swap the can opener with the small blade so that it work correctly?

Thanks

Edit: I must specify backside awl

It might be possible if you use 2 springs and spacers on each side of the tools.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Do you mean 2 springs for one tool layer??

I just realize the main blade/caplifter were on the same layer on a old Voyager, just like the way I want...how they done that??

The blade on those old ones has a more severe bend in them to make room for the cap lifter.
PM me or email sakmodder [at] gmail . com if you are looking for custom SAK work.

That one is also a 84mm. I'll look in my parts bin and see if I can come up with something :). If it can be done I will let you know :)

So I could try bending the blade a little and benefit of the smaller tang 2005+ by adding a spacer at the right place?? Also put a spacer on the cap lifter side to fit the main blade spring thickness....
