Ubuntu 12.10 x64 here,

strange as we both have the same firefox... the original reason it was doing it was some stupid Internet Exploder 9 fix... (which I probably broke with my fix)

Yup, the reply window is WAAY off.... that's how long it took to find the Post button...

BTW this is still broken on Firefox 19.+ on Linux... :-\
Firefox 19.0.2 on Ubuntu here, working just fine...

Exact same version on Ubuntu 12.04.2/amd64, cache cleared, here's what it looks like. See how the text field is open to the right? Also notice what a long line looks in preview mode. I'll try to bomb the cache to oblivion and retry.

Was doing that to me all week, and when I went to preview the entire left side was truncated. Somehow... not sure what happened past a Adobe Flash update followed shortly by a BSoD (Flash does it) Firefox started behaving itself again. Maybe that's what you need, update flash and generate a BSoD.

I block those nasty ads too.  :twak:  Not just here but almost everywhere.  >:D

The one's up top of the actual forum, that have the various shops like EDC Source I don't mind and are there. Is how I bought the Wenger SI was from that banner add. Those I don't mind. Although EDC Source doesn't appear as much when you want it too...  :ahhh

I have a theory,  someone typed Chuck Norris in the forum search box and it caused an electronic black hole.

No search engine can find Chuck Norris...   HE finds YOU.

I get it, unfortunately the banners at the top don't help pay the bills as much... while I run an adblocker plugin, I whitelist sites I want to support such as MTO.

Everything looks fine now, thanks! BTW the reason for some ads not showing up on the right pane is script blocking, not ad blocking, and I'm quite strict with what sites get to execute their js stuff on my computer. ;)

I think an OK compromise is running a flashblocker, but no ad-blocker. If I want to use a site, and it is paid for by ads, then I should bite the bullet and live with the ads or live without using the site, IMHO. Otherwise I undermine the business model of the site and is scrounging on the less tech savvy people who get exposed to the ads. On the other hand, Flash as such is a nasty piece of smurf I really don't need stuffed down my throat, so I feel no obligation to activate every, single piece of SWF smurf that is thrown at me. The web should stick nice, open standards, with content viewable on arbitrary platforms by anyone, whether they are blind, colour-blind, deaf or whatever where applicable.

I suppose flash ads should be taken out... I kinda hate them myself... especially during night time surfing and some loud sound effect goes off in my headphones...

Ok so what's wrong with the time stamps? I just posted a message and it says 4 hours ago. The time for now is 8:13 EST. Just wondering
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

The forum time is CET as the servers are in Europe. Also the daylight savings time doesn't start at the same time in Europe as it does in the US. If the time is wrong for you go to Profile at the top of the screen, then Modify profile, Look and Layout and add/subtract the hours to match your own under the Time Offset: option.

I know some maintenance was also done today, so perhaps that may have also been partially to blame

edit: my time offset seems fine...
