I was just wondering if anyone here has gotten the new swisstool with the sheepfoot blade yet, and how you like it?.

Also does it have the larger (2005 and newer) Plier heads?, I cant tell from the pic.

Thanks in advance.  :multi:

I don't have that type of Swisstool, but I'm pretty sure the one in the pic doesn't have the big (after 2005) plier head.

This is the main reason why I haven't bought another Swisstool yet, seems like you're never really sure which version of the plier head that you're going to get when you order online (and like you, I also favor the beefier version  ;)).

Here's how I define which type of plier head it is, first of all, the pivot on the beefier (2005) version is reversed, and second, on the beefier version A is thicker (about 2 or 3 mm) than B (see pic).

P.S. Correct me if I'm wrong guys  ;).

Good point on the reversed pivot :tu:
I have a 2005 one. Eyeballing this picture I'd say it looks a little slimmer on the spots Top-Gear marked.
Generally, that's not how mine's pliers head looks compared to the handles.
As per sheepsfoot blade, I haven't tried that but I like it.

Why the heck would Victorinox go backwards on this new Swisstool?. I thought they wanted stronger pliers  ???

Love that new blade, but if you can believe the website they changed the blade, but not the article bumber for the tool.  If this is true .....

Maybe it means they will also release a New Spirit with this new blade as the updated Spirit-S.  That I would buy several in a second.  Make it Black and I'd buy a few more.

Has any one seen on e of these in  the flesh?

I am not sure how long I have had mine but it looks just like the one above but I dont have the trademark stamped in plier's head.

Why is that?  I do have the same serrated blade!  Other variation?  What do you think?
