Funniest part is they are both wrong. The asker of the question much, much more spectacularly than the seller. The seller says:
This company has been around since 1896 and quit using just "Victoria" markings in the late 40's
This is wrong. Victorinox used "Victoria" on tang stamps until the early 1970s (1974 is typically cited as the change over date). The knife in question is from the mid 1950s.
I didn't bother bidding cause it seemed like it was US shipping only.
Our new collector Jimylee in China won this one as well. My guess is he has someone in the US forwarding for him.
