Orange Cellidor
on: May 19, 2013, 12:48:49 AM
Has anyone ever seen any solid orange cellidor SAK made at any time?  I think orange would make a nice colour addition for cellidor.

"Electric Orange" scales were used on Classics at one time.  They show up from time to time.  There has been a couple threads on them over time.

Wenger has done a variety of orange handles, though not a solid orange cellidor.

Love the orange too but hard to find without some kind of logo or corporate name. Here is a Wenger EVO S14 in Shutterfly orange and a Victorinox Rally in electric orange.

I wish they'd make 91 mm cellidor scales in orange.

I think it would look nice with a black blade... can't wait to find out.

It's a bit of a mystery why Victorinox missed the orange crazy of the last several years in the US, but that color trend seems to be on it's last legs so I'm not sure they will go for Orange at this point.

AFAIk the black/orange Ranger was only available a a set in a box together with a pricey Wenger watch, wasn´t it?

I once bid on such a case with teh knife, but watch collectors seem to be wealthier than Tool collectors as i did not stand a chance (and would not have paid anywhere near as mucgh for a black/orange ranger)

I sometimes think about putting these scales on a 3 layer Ranger, but as teh orange one is new, unused and i did not use teh 3 layer much 8I prefer 111 Vics) i did not tear it apart yet.

There is that limited-edition numbered "RangerGrip" with black PVD blade, that as far as I know is limited to the set.

However; as you were contemplating... one could tear apart the standard evo orange, or another RangerGrip orange and transplant the scales.  I'm planning on doing both.

Looks like I just won a CyberTool with translucent orange scales. Weird, never seen those before
Maybe it was just a bad picture of a ruby one :) Oh well, it wasn't expensive.

I have this one with carrot and recently saw one orange on ebay.

Here is the link:

I love the translucent orange.  I have both a Classic and a Rambler with those scales.  They're 2 of my favorite SAKs.  :D

I just recalled, I have a seller saved in my favorites on ebay that makes custom SAKs, there are whole bunch of scales colors. I can give his store's link, if needed.

No, it doesn't have the carrot unfortunately but it's orange.  I'd appreciate that link if you could.  :D
