Just for interest, I got on to Alibaba-US the other day (BTW, they drop a ton of cookies in your browser, so be sure to delete them all). There was a listing of knife companies. One specialized in SAKs, even had the Victorinox shield on them.

Wow that looks like a pretty good fake to me - If it is one - I don't have a Swiss card Beijing opera card with which to compare it or my Beijing Climber with me today.
Would fool most people I'd say - Including me if I was not a Vic enthusiast
Clues for me are:
  • Plastic surface is mottled - Aren't the real ones smoother?
  • Screwdriver on the end of the file looks too rounded - always a good sign of a Chinese knock off
  • With all the tools in place the tabs on the tool ends to not align beautifully like they do on a real one
  • Vic logo does not look very neat

But it's all a bit scary.
Although the seller does not have great feedback.

Trust me, they are CR@P.  I got a couple from DX for 5 bux and they are truly awful.

So bad that I think they "reverse engineered" them from a photo, not an actual sample.

The knife is like a butter spreader. The file just has some lines stamped on it, not teeth. The whole thing is way too thick. about the only tool that is halfway usable is the scissors and even they are a bit woeful.

I was going to give them to my GF and Mum to keep in their handbags, but I went with Classic SDs after I saw how bad these things were.

That is funny!! But you'd believe it!!

BTW when I said 'good fake' I meant 'good' in that it would fool you - at least in a pic
As opposed to 'good' as in 'works well'/'functional'
I think 'good' as in 'works well' does not apply to any Chinese knock offs - apart from maybe the odd main blade!

This one is not being advertised as genuine but I thought it deserves a mention here since I have not seen a fake with the watch scales before.

Yep, fake.

Wrong magnifying glass, wrong Phillips screwdriver, wrong backtools, wrong corkscrew screwdriver, wrong tangstamp... Do I need to carry on? :P

Probably not worth the 15€ he's asking.

Looks like 10 to 11 cm
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

You're right, at the very first glance it seemed okay, but only the very first. I usually first look for the can opener, at least that looks quite right...

But yeah, the generic Chinese phillips sd is a dead giveaway, as is the weird mag glass.

That picture represent the original Vic's SwissChamp,

although he sells something like this Chinese knock-off:

I've seen kind of this picture few days ago on his another listing.

Now it seems he removed those pristine Chinese pics on all his listings, and deceives people with those Vic's pics.

Sorry, I don't know whether this is the proper thread for this, but while searching fleabay I saw a listing that seemed to trying to intentionally deceive.

Swiss army victorinox sheath & Red Fury folding knife multi tool 28 implement

seller has a Buy It Now price set at $119.95

Since Victorinox merged the Wenger line into the Victorinox line, and kept the model numbers which included a model 28, and the model 28 includes a number of the same implements, as this item, I found the listing intentionally dishonest. Plus the price is ridiculous for a junk import.

It's Ebay listing: 181502475043

Seller: paulsoutletusa

Store: flyingaces2009

Item listing name: Swiss army victorinox sheath & Red Fury folding knife multi tool 28 implement

Seller has supposedly already sold 4!!!

Why not add a link?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/181502475043

Sorry, I forgot to. Plus sometimes adding a link only helps advertise dishonest sellers. Will ad link in future.

The 4 sold were at $19.99 USD. And we can't report the auctions if you don't provide the link for us. ;)

Unless the sheath is a fake, there is nothing to report really, it says:

Quote
FURY knife best value 28 implement
multi tool with 2 sheaths a Fury sheath,
and a Victorinox Swiss Army sheath
