first of all, I want to apologize -- this post is long overdue! the knife arrived a couple weeks ago, and I promised Grathr that I'd post some pics of the knife in its new home, but I haven't been able to do so until now.

so without further ado...
here is the Fangstmann taking a break while helping with some firewood prep!

I have been using the knife in the backyard the past couple weekends, mostly for yardwork and preparing firewood for use in our new fire pit. it cuts well, and the wood handle (birch?) is surprisingly comfortable. I haven't done any batonning with it, mostly because it's such a beautiful knife.

I might try it out for some food prep next time I grill something... we'll see.
I tried to do some research on this particular Brusletto model, but details are hard to find.

I think the steel is 440C, but I'm not completely sure. however, I
am completely sure that this is a wonderful new addition to my collection -- one that has introduced me to a new brand of knife, and one that will continue to see regular use.
here's another shot, this one of the Fangstmann with his new brothers -- big brother (SOG Seal Pup Elite) and little brother (ESEE Candiru). I didn't think I'd ever need more than one fixed blade, and now I'm up to three...

Grathr, I really can't thank you enough for your generosity. Thanks again!
