Just noticed these on the SOG website (they are new?) I think they're kinda cool.

Yea, only the scissors option is interesting for me too.

I like the scissors but they cost $12.95 plus shipping. When I can buy a vic classic for less at Target I'm wondering if they're worth it?

These could be good tools to sneak into places that don't allow knives

This reminds me, I was going to have a crack at making something like this from a couple of key blanks and the guts of a Classic.

Too many ideas and not enough hours

Me too! That actually sounds pretty doable if you can drill the tiny holes in the keys for the pins. Maybe someday I might do that. The scissors from a vic would most likely be better than the SOG key ones anyway.

Actually it might be a pain to use real key blanks, with the zig-zag section of them, might have to go talk to my friendly local locksmith.

Other option is cutting some fake keys from brass sheet.

Probably the best, real keys would be too thick anyway.

Although if you take two identical keys and surface grind one side off each, you'd make some wicked realistic looking yet without any of the downsides.

I sure hope they're sturdy enough.... but there's only one way to find out

You can buy the Harbor Freight knife version for less than a dollar on sale.  I like all of them, but I'm a sucker for the gimmicky items.
