I just received an email from Doug Dillman of Freeport Knife Co. that he is taking orders for the 2012 Vic Knife Collectors Society Knife of the Year. He calls it the Doctors Knife, $33 for US $52 for others.

Interesting. From first look I really like it. Is that a 84mm?

Think the spatula is only available on 91mm knives.

I think so too. At least it makes sense on a doctors knife. ;) Never understood it on the HP one. :)

The part that worries me is, why does a doctors knife need a saw?

Yep, amputees galore!  :ahhh I got that email too. I will probably ante up for one. Strange set of tools but that is usually what attracts me to something anyway!  :pok:

Think on the HP one it was to measure out chemicals onto a scale.

I didn't receive the email. Had the same problem last year. Went to Freeport's website and was rerouted to Casco Bay Cutlery.

As for 'Doctor', depends on the type of doctor. Some veterinary knives came with saws.

Mine came on Saturday, Sep 21, in a plastic Victorinox shield box with a certificate indicating only 120 pieces were produced.
