Well, I need a cure for Surefire addiction

I know its nowhere near comparable to some peoples SF collection, but my wife and I seem to be addicted to SF lights...why is that? She loves to get them as much as I do, although she never rotates what she carries...she will only carry her L1.

Its a great idea for a clip, but I ended up removing it. It was not grippy at all and working outside at home and stuff it slipped out of my pocket, both head up and head down. I removed the clip and got a small Safariland belt holder for it.

Great little light and very bright...good thrower with enough spill to be useful, especially the low mode.

Hmm I love the clip on my e1b, its perfect for pocket carry.

Richard, what do you think of your E2dl Defender and L2? I am looking at one or the other for my wife actually. I'll probably end up getting them both but I still would like to know your opinions on both.

Oh and to answer your question about Surefire addiction, how about tryiing some Nitecore's

Well, the Nitecore idea might be worth looking into. Dont know much about them, so some direction on how to choose one and where to look would be great!!

As for the SF choice for your wife, there are a couple of things to consider. The E2DL is a great thrower with enough spill to be useful, but not as "spilly" as the L2 which has decent distance, but not like the E2DL.

Also, I absolutely love both but I am now carrying the L2 more because for throw I always have my E1B. Also, the L2 I think has an older type less efficient LED so 100 Lumens gives it a 1hr runtime, where as the E2DL gives 120 for real close to 2hrs. Probably the lumens drop a bit over that time, but they will maintain blinding brightness for the advertised runtimes.

Also, size is important, the L2 is a bit longer than the E2DL so depending how she wants to carry it would make a difference.

If I had only one light it would be the E2DL, but since I dont have to be limited to one, I really like the combo of the E1B and L2.

I just received my NiteCore D10 today, and I'm LOVING IT!  The Extreme might be just what you're looking for.

I like the clip on the E1B the best. I EDC a E1B and I've never had any problems with the clip.

I like the switch on the L1 better than the switch on the E1B, but the E1B replaced my L1 in my EDC because of the clip.

As far as a cure for Surefire, the Novatac 120P is the only non-Surefire that I could live with. I also EDC a 120P, but the E1B gets the most use by far because of the way I carry them, the E1B is easier to get at.

Do you have a ARC AAA? Totally different I know, but I like them too.

I also like the L2 and A2, but I don't carry them anymore because of their size.

Thanks for the info Richard, you have confirmed what I already suspected. If the Defneder had just a little higher low it would be perfect for what I want for the wife.

Info about ANY light is on CPF, IMO it is the go to place to research about lights.
