Multitasker Series 3X
on:

Just saw this pics @ Multitasker's FB page !
FINALLY, a Multitool with a respectable blade and liner lock !
Features a 3" drop point blade, made from D2 toolsteel, swedged with jimping on the spine; combined with aggressive G10 scales and a proper linerlock,
It's like having a tactical folder in your multitool.

Is it the detachable one? And does it come in plain edge?
Looks good to me!!

Looks like a nice tool, but I disagree with the "finally a decent blade on a multitool" remark. The Spyderwrench had an excellent blade, and to be honest, I don't have any complaints with the blade on the Wave/Charge either or the Leatherman knives that had screwdrivers on them. And one of the Buck tools had a pretty decent knife on it as well.
And let's not forget the large SAKs either, some of them have excellent OHO blades with locks.
Also, I've never seen a Multitasker tool that had a regular loadout, most of the tools are specific to maintaining an AR-15 style rifle. Also, the pliers lack a large opening, which really limits their usefulness for an EDC MT.
Oh, and they're made in China, which annoys me with a $50 Gerber, I really don't want a $150 Chinese made MT no matter how good it is.

This is the Series 3, and it is geared specifically towards the AR shooter. The tool with the removeable knife is the Duo, and as far as I know, no release date or price has been provided to the public. Multitasker's Facebook page is the best source of info available, as they do not have a website set up yet, though I believe one is in the works.
I think Multitasker folks are present here on MT.O and I believe Metro is friendly with some of those folks

Looks interesting... though regarding it being the first with a proper knife, I have to say that I'm quite happy with the knife on the MUT. But it's not exactly the best EDC option either, not that it stops me

I've got a Series 3, and while there are certainly other multitools with nice knife blades, this one is right up there among the best. I don't have a MUT nearby to compare it to, but here it is up alongside a Leatherman Super Tool 300 blade.
The Series 3 blade is bigger and thicker and (apparently) stronger, but in all fairness, that's mainly because the robust size of the Multitasker allows it to house larger implements.

I too have one. I wanted to do a proper write up but I have not had time or access to the Internet.
This is a thick tool. That is my one concern. As for the knife, it is very nice. Mine came sharp. The liner lock is smooth and locks well. The blade is D2, which I think is not getting enough attention. There are many tools with a decent blade but not many use D2 or other premium steels.
