It is Canada Day here, and I thought to myself, how can I spice it up a little. I got this idea to take another SOG collection photo shoot. This means I get to play with some SOGs...which always brightens my day somewhat.
Without nothing further to do...
Here are my 3 SOG Toolclips. I like these so much that I bought another to EDC for a while. I do have both versions. A very nice and solid tool. These seem to be harder to get, and are definately collector tools these days.

Next up are the Paladin Tool Series. PT-540, PT-525, and PT-510, largest to smallest. SOG specialty tool lines are always interesting takes on their standard lineup. These are geared towards the IT sector.

Followed by my Tini section. I only have 4 of these beautiful gold coloures works of art. These are very hard to come by, and the passage of time does not making them any easier to find.

Talking about specialty SOG tools, here are a couple more. Instead of facing off with the IT crowd, these face off with sailors and maritime folks. The Blackfin is big. Bigger than the Paladin Pt-540 which is larger than your standard full size SOG. The West Marine is an interesting take on a sailors tool and includes a marlin spike.

Next up are 3 similar MTs. Two Powerlocks and a Power Assist. The lowest Powerlock has the gear guards of the newer SOGS, and is also an EOD V2.0 (it has the fuse spike). The top one is the Power Assist. It has two blades in one handle that are spring assisted. The top and bottom are newer tools and feature SOGs piano locking system which I could never understand. It makes the tools rather fiddly in use. The newer ones have now eliminated the piano lock. A good move I think on their part.

Following are 3 SOG Pocket Powerpliers. The top being a Harley Davidson branded tool.

Here we have two Paratools. The lowest being the older version.

Next up are two SOG Power Pliers. The top being a Harley Davidson branded model. The lower is in Black Oxide.

To add a little colour, here are my Toolclips. I have two (top) first series Toolclips, and 4 second series Toolclips.

The SOG Crossgrip and Crosscut are smaller pocket sized multi-tools. The Grossgrip features a visible outside spring around the plier pivot points. The crosscut is also spring loaded, but SOG decided to hid the spring in this model.

SOG's latest design, the Powerduo. I have mixed feelings bout these. There is a lot I like about the desing. However, I did find the fit and quality lower then on other SOG models. For instance, my clear handled Powerduo show some stress cracks around the bolts. These being first out production models, I hope they have increased the quality of the handles in later production tools.

The venerable, classy, and dare I say it, sexy SOG Switch Plier. Other than its nice lines, you press a button to deploy the spring loaded pliers. Always a conversation starter. Bellow are 3 knock offs of the larger original. However, they fit into the SOG collection because they are so darn cute. One is the more common Stanley version. The other two are Too Fast and Furious advertisers and are harder to find.

That concludes my SOG collection. I did not try to get every model variant out there, but I do think I have a nice representation of what SOG has to offer. I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I did in taking them.
