Strange marks on an MP600
on: May 03, 2008, 08:41:54 AM
While I'm going over my new Gerber with a fine tooth comb I've notice some strange marks on the inside of the chasis . I think they are just manufacturing marks but dont know .They are on either side ......

Maybe the two handles are pushed into a machine to be riveted and that were the marks come from .
I know this is petty but I really look at my knives and tools closely  ;)

My picture doesn't show them as clearly as Dunc's, but the two little lines are there on mine too. Anybody else?

In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

As you know I can't take any pics...:-[ But, all my MulitPlier's with flick out pliers have that same marking. I wonder why?

Just looked at my Multiplier and there were no marks on it.  Not sure if it is at all significant, but mine is a blunt nosed model.

Ben am I right in saying you have an older original Multi-plier ( the non locking one ) ? My old one has no marks but its the locking 600 series that has them .

That is correct, but as Ryans has them, I was expecting to have have as well.
