yesterday, after yet another good ol' nagging from the wife, I had a tidy up of 'some' of my bits and bobs laying about the house *IN THE BLOODY WAY* !
now I don't consider myself a 'collector', or I didn't till now  :facepalm:
I have a plastic tool-box (a bit like something a fisherman would keep his stuff in) which I'm meant to keep all my *junk* in, IF it must be in the house  :whistle:
after a short while I found the aforementioned 'toy box' was getting quite full, so despite screams of horror from 'the old woman', I set about spreading out my toys to do a family pic. now I thought I'd got rid of lots of stuff since joining MTO, so I was shocked to see this little pile.
Don't tell the misses but I'm pretty sure there is a few other bits kicking about, stashed here and there (I'm not by nature a tidy person  :whistle:). I had to stop rounding up my flock, it was all getting a bit much for the old girl  :facepalm:
I'm thinking of shedding some of the load, as I say I'm not a collector, more of a 'fiddler'  :climber:
I don't want some of this stuff just sitting about if it's not being loved/used, and although the universe (and another member of MTO  :whistle:) has conspired against me getting a LM rebar (long story), and I don't need one really but if I can sell off some bits I might get me one !
my 'cash flow' is a bit one way at the moment so I'm not able to feed the kids AND my 'habit' this month  ::)
also i'm WAAAAY over due on doing my 1000th post 'give-away', I didn't think I had much to 'give-away' now I'm not sure what to choose ? so what I was thinking is... I'll post some pics here of the 'family' then I'll do some group shots of things that could go, and put them in the 'for sale thread' incase there is something people really want. rather than leave it to chance it gives you the option to make me an offer etc. after a few days I'll pick something to do a give-away, and try and think of something clever/different rather than a random number ?? (any ideas welcome ?)
right now all I need to do is blackmail my youngest into helping me post pics , with her Ipod (which, by the way 'I paid for !'  :D)

That's a lovely group you have there. Are you sure you wanna split them up. Maybe you just need a better/bigger hiding place from the nice SWMBO lady? ;)

Very nice michael  :drool: love the vic rescue  :salute:as for hiding stuff i used to do it but now angie just rolls her eyes when something turns up at the house,they get use to it in the end  ;)

It sounds like you need to have a dedicated space for your stuff and keep it there.  When things are not stored in such a way, they tend to get scattered and catch the unwanted attention of the Mrs.  :whistle:

The good news is that once your collection reaches critical mass, your wife will no longer realize when you acquire new tools unless she actually sees them arrive in the mail.   >:D

This is so true  :tu: my wife used my Swisschamp this week and said is it new  :facepalm: she has seen it lots of times including after taxidad gave to me,she has no clue  :D

Sound like an excellent excuse to build an outbuilding for "tool" storage and other items.
