It depends on the SAK and how rare/old it is.

You should prolly just a send it to me. I have never owned a worthless SAK!  I'll make sure it lives a good life.

To a collector? For sure. But you may restore it or let it be restored. Have a look here (my old fisherman)

I'm sure a serious collector wants only mint condition knives. There are a lot of casual collectors though (many are on this forum) who don't have the funds to purchase mint condition knives, but who happily pay for rare models with minor or repairable damage.

very much depends on the SAK and just what's wrong with it.  For example; I am sure a scuffed Voyageur would still be of interest to a collector who doesn't already own one.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Like others have said (and I agree) it depends on the SAK, the damage, and the collector.  :tu: I'm sure there is always a use for mostly any SAK even if its for parts for a Mod.

For collectors' items, condition is everything.  However, a discontinued model with only normal/minor wear will often find ready buyers who intend to make it a user anyway and thus have no incentive to pay a premium for a new, NIB, or mint item.  Even SAKs with serious/major damage are still generally good mod fodder.
