I'm not a collector, but I have been accumulating knives for 50+ years, SAKs since the early 80's.
Given everyone in the family one for Christmas or birth day gift at one time or another.
I suppose as in anything else there are different factions, Alox, 84mm, 91mm etc.

Well, I like them all. Generally carry a Champion or Ranger. If I am carrying one of my premium jackknives like an GEC or Case I will also carry a SAK. When I fly I'm all twitchy until I can get my checked bag... Have taken to storing a SAK at Daughters' houses so there will be one there when I arrive.
Just discovered this site so I thought I'd look around.
