What's on your Santa list this year?
on: September 25, 2013, 03:27:20 PM
Ok so it's definitely too early to start talking about Christmas, BUT it's never to early to start making that MT wish list!

So, what's that special tool you've got on your list this year?

Also, to keep with the spirit of the holiday, what will you be giving to someone special?

As for me, I'll definitely be asking for an OHT this year. And I might get a Vic Executive for my pops.

Ooooh I like threads like this  :)

Let's see.... I know I want a LM OHT after frequenting JA's thread for the past couple months. I can't decide if I want tan or black but there's still plenty of time.

I also want a blue Pioneer. I have no idea where I might find one but I've wanted one of these for years and passed up one I saw on fleabay listed for around $120 with shipping.

I'd like a 2aa mag light for when I need a little brighter torch than my 2aaa.

I'd like a custom alox SAK from Syph.

That's all I can think of for now.  >:D

I am thinking of getting a Juice S2 for the missus, either for her B-day (mid Nov) or Christmas. I want her to have something a little more hardcore than her Dime. Also considering a Balance.

For myself... I dunno. Nothing really jumps out at me as something that I just have got to have. I like the OHT, but the loadout has me hoping that a different model will come out in the future that features scissors and a file. I am still searching for that perfect pocket tool, but it doesn't exist yet. So, I won't be asking Santa for anything.

FYI, I got my wife a CS4 for her birthday a few years ago, and she LOVES it.  :)  Several of her friends have commented on how much they like it too. (usually after she helps them out with it!)

She has a Squirt P4 as well, but I think she gets more use out of the Juice.

I don't think I have any knives or multitools on my wish list (honestly have more than I'll ever use, and need to cull my collection), though I do want to replace the bulk of my safety razor collection with a Weber and an iKon. >.>

I think I'd like to add a Minitool to the list. I know they aren't perfect, but I think really cool!

The CS4 looks awesome, but my wife would almost never require a saw. If LM made a version that replaced the saw with a file... I would have one for myself already and my Wife probably would as well.

Files don't get enough love, IMO. It's a useful implement that doesn't seem like it would be expensive to manufacture. Wish more "pocket" tools had them.

My list is way too long to type but I'd settle with a Syph custom, Spirit and Cold Steel Magnum Kukri.

Right now I would say a swisschamp, an explorer, and a huntsman. It's still a ways off though and I am known to change my mind often.
