WTB: Cybertool bits
on: October 25, 2013, 05:24:19 PM
I bought a Cybertool Lite, but the bits were missing  :cry:  I was wondering if anyone here might have some they'd be willing to part with.

To estimate shipping costs, my postal code is B2S 0A2.

Cheers,

Derek

i recently did the shrink tube mod on my CT34 and it now accepts ( slightly ) less than 4mm bits and holds them great.  i also posted in this link

 http://forum.multitool.org/swiss-forum/wiha-micro-bits-and-cybertool/msg783691/#msg783691

i am able to use these bits and now more so with the mod and have quite an assortment of bits.

@derekmac,

I also have the same set as Aloha, and it will suffice as a cheap fix.

I have seen full sets of cybertool bits on ebay for about $16  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-4-Victorinox-Swiss-Army-Knife-CYBERTOOL-BITS-Bit-Four-Kinds-New-/141061548262?pt=Collectible_Knives&hash=item20d7ec68e6

I know this is expensive, but if you want the actual ones, this could be a backup plan.
If I can help, let me know

I personally don't have any for sale, but here is another option to the ones on EBAY. These would be a bit more expensive as well. But for the sake of options.  :D

Thanks for the links guys! Aloha, I like what you did with those bits, it looks good!

I would like to get the actual Vic ones, but they are kind of pricey. I'll probably never carry or use the Cybertool, so it might not be worth it for me to get them.

this set up works great and was inexpensive. my CT 34 was missing 2 bits now I have 12 plus the 2 Vic ones.  I also no longer leave a bit on the carrier as I mentioned in the thread the cheap bit holder is now how I carry extra bits.

the shrink mod works great but there is some rubbing against the pliers but very minimal.  the cheap bits sit deep and are well retained.  I followed the mod posted by a member but I forget who.  I got the cheap bit from wallymart for $5 US IIRC.

I do like that, and the price is definitely right!  Next time I'm at Walmart I'll have a look to see what they have.
