Is it possible? SAK half stop blade?

Just wondering if this would be at all achievable on a 91 or 93 model?

I'm sure it is, just requires some grinding on the tang. You'll see the 'back' (opposite of the blade) is round, if you make that square, it'll half stop. (at least, that's what I think)

If you just flatten it off, make it look like the tang of the bottle-opener, it'll be alright, I think.

*disclaimer: I haven't done this, but it does make sense, somehow, right? Can't -promise- it'll work good, though.

Oh, and make sure you round the corners off just right (so, grind slowly) Or it won't be very nice to close it, or open it more than the half-stop.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, but wasn't sure if the backspring would need some work doing on it too.

I'd say leave the backspring alone. It's what keeps the blade open and secure. If any mod should be done, it should be done in the blade instead.

(also haven't tried it but makes sense...)

I don't think you'd need any work on the backspring, no.

Yep it will work by just making the round hump flat.  I did that before on one of the tools.
