Hidden treasures, cuttlery sets.
on: October 14, 2013, 02:17:10 PM
I was rummaging around in one of my storage areas when I came upon these two cutlery sets. For some unknown reason, I had completely forgotten about these and am very happy to have re-found them again.

The first set is a WM Rogers & Son silver plated set that belonged to my Grand Mother. This one dates to the 30s. The corker is a lot newer and dates to the early 80s. I had looked for that one a few years ago and never found it. Now I know why lol.

I guess it was customary for young woman to gather some house items before getting married. Here is my mother's set that dates to late 60s early 70s. This is also a WM Rogers & Son set but in stainless steel.

I am very happy to have these two sets back from storage. Time to give them a prominent place in my house.  :tu:

Those are some nice wares. We currently use Fiesta Ware silverware and the coloured tabs are slowly popping off of them and getting stuck in the dishwasher...  :(
