I have one.  The fit and finish are excellent.  I prefer the AAA size Maratac, but that's just personal preference.  The AA sized one is a bargain IMO.

Thanks Mr. Whippy  :tu:
I prefer AA Lights . It's easier to carry spare batteries when everything runs off the same one.

a hard lesson learned

Looks like the autocorrect is messing with you a bit. :D

BTW. You can use AAAs in a Maratac AA in a pinch. They are the same built as the ITP A2 and Olight i3 and all of them have very strong and long springs that can accommodate the size difference between an AA and AAA battery. Only other flashlight capable of this that I know of is the Gerber Infinity.

TOTALLY agree.  When I'm out climbing/hiking/trail running etc, I go all AA.  My GPS uses them (which is critical) so the headlamp gets the same.

I have several Maratacs, they are a nice, robust light.  I have the "full dresser" polished SS and the low-key satin finish version as well.  The polished one looks classy, but the satin is grippier.

Don't waste your money!  The Fenix E15 is a much better light although it runs of a single CR123 battery.
