Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Its fairly cheap, and the small hatchet design is right up there with the hammer/hatchet/plier tool in my opinion.  :D

The folding hatchet blades have been around for a long time. I think they are more for carving because you can choke way up on it. And I might risk batoning it to start a slot for a wedge in smaller stock.

Patriotism is a lively sense of collective responsibility, Nationalism is a silly cock crowing on it's own dunghill.

Necessity is the mother of invention. If you're not ready, it's "a mother". If you are, it's "mom".

That is a very good point :salute:

I can imagine the hatchet beeing usefull for carving, and as a chisel. I guess I was a bit too quick condemning it as a useless tool.

And now I might have to buy one to see how it works...
