Fenix T1 and TK10 turbo mode
on: May 18, 2008, 02:27:38 PM
Hello all!

I am planning to buy either a T1 or TK10 but I have 2 questions before I decide what to buy.

Which model can be used on turbo mode for more than 10 minutes?
What are the major differences between the two  models?

Thank you.

Eddie

Both can, appearance is the only thing that's different.

Thanks WD and jzmtl. I thought the TK10 is bigger than T1.

WD, in the review in your link it was stated that T1 has slightly brighter hot spot than the TK10. With that in mind I am still undecided what to buy. Will do more research before I decide.

Hi, I'm just waiting for my tk10 to arrive and I checked all the reviews on candleforums one thing that made me decide was the fact that tk10 design was improved and the clip that comes fixed on the t1 is optional on the tk10 ,less halo ,but t1 seems to have little more lumens in tests and tk10 can't tail stand, however my decision went for the tk10.check candleforums:

Hi there too and welcome to the forum Airman. I will read the review in your link. I hope you can share with us some observations with your TK10 after it arrives.

Thank you,and sure I will as soon as I receive it,by the way the tk10 and t1 are supposed to work at full power with no time restriction the only thing you should have in mind is to avoid using it inside any type of insulation or at very high temperatures at full power.

The TK10 on turbo is indeed very bright and can be used for extended time. However, runtime is greatly extended on low mode which is still 60 lumens and pretty darn bright. On high, the head will get pretty warm. Im still having real trouble deciding on a favorite. The Fenix is so cool, well built and versatile, but that Surefire 6P LED...well, theres something about it that says "the best". I dont know, its like having multiple SAKs, how can you really choose a favorite?
