Hi guys,

Just wanted to say hi. As the title already suggests I'm from Belgium :-)

A bit of background on myself. I've been carrying some kind of SAK / knife / multitool since i was about 10 years old.

Here are the setups i've had :
- Teenager : Victorinox Swischamp
- Student : Victorinox Swisstool + bit kit + corkscrew + 12 ~ 15mm wrenches in the side pockets of a jeans jacket
- working 1 : leatherman juice XE6 (didn't carry that one long)
- working 2 : leatherman Skeletool
- working 3 : CRKT Sampson kiss + victorinox 58m classic
- current : Smith & wesson Oasis + victorinox minichamp

Future (and more less the reason I registered here) : Leatherman Charge TTi

As you can see I've had a few setups, and I've been changing from minimalism to full on boy-scout with a batman belt. Still haven't found the sweetpoint, but i'm hoping that pocketing the Charge will be pretty close.

Any suggestions to combine my minimalism with the Charge is welcome :-)

Welcome mate  :cheers: the charge is enough by itself in my opinion other than may be a little torch,what are the laws like in Belgium  :think: any blade lock restrictions,

Seems like you've come to the right place :)


In pocketing a Charge, I'd say the pocketclip that you can get separately helps a lot. Besides that, it's probably (a lot) cheaper to get one from the other side of the ocean, makes for a bit of waiting time, but, even with any import duties, will often be quite a good money saving. Gives some budgetary room for more tools  >:D

Legislation changed recently to exclude locking blades from it. So that's fine, unfortunately it's a recent change and most people still think the locking blades are banned.

Actually, it should be Welkom for me, since i live in the Flemish speaking part of Belgium (but French works equally well with me :-)

I figured ebay was the way to go. All shops here have the Charge at roughly 140~150€ while I got it for 94€ including shipping from the other side of the pond. The down side is indeed waiting for the goodies to arrive.
It should come with the pocket clip, which is a no-brainer for me since i don't like the batman-belt look.

About the Charge TTi,  it sure is a beautiful tool, but owning both, I find it hard to justify the price difference between the Charge TTi and the Wave, especially the prices in Belgium, about 140€ (about $191) for the Wave against 230€ (about $314) for the Charge TTi.  Either way,  I'm done paying those prices at the local store, I'll get my tools elsewhere.
