A deal to good to pass up! $17.10 with the military discount, I should have bought a few. Like you Aloha, the Sidekick will be a gift (for my brother), but the croc is mine! Thanks for the heads up on the deal :salute:

Are these worth having?  How is the Sidekick?  How is the Croc?

Anyone use them?  I see that they are cheap at $19 but are they worth having/using?

So does anyone use the Sidekick daily?  Is it worth the money? :)

The Sidekick is a great entry level Multitool.   The pice is good although last year they were $15<grin> after Christmas. The Croc is a throw in.  More of a collector item than a useful edc tool.

I just bought one.  Dang it.  Couldn't turn it down.  LOL.  Didn't know they had military discount.  Pops was with.  Retired USAF.  He could've gotten one.  Oh, well.  I like the saw.  But, I really like the scissors on the wingman.  If they'd come out with a tool that had scissors and saw; you know combine the Wingman and Sidekick, that'd be great!  Yes, it's not the greatest one out there.  Entry level?  Hmm..I don't understand that..  What does it take to become an expert and worthy of a more expensive tool?  They more expensive ones have more options.  Some folks won't like all the extra weight.  All tools come with an incredible warranty.  They do the job.  What's not to like? I mainly got it for the Croc.  I like it.  It's neat.  :)

I said this about the Wingman, and it goes for the Sidekick as well, at $20, this is the best full-size MT you can get, IMO.

What I think most folks mean by 'entry level' tool is this: If you know someone who might benefit from having an MT, this is a perfect one to get them started with. If they're the clumsy/forgetful kind, and lose it, it's not a big loss. If they're cautious, but find the tool just doesn't cover all the things they might need, then they can invest in a more expensive model with more features.

If I hadn't already gotten everyone I know who needed MTs a Wingman LAST Christmas, I'd be grabbing these up.

Well, I broke down and picked one up!  I think it has a great tool set (except for the saw) for the money and I figured I could carry it this winter and if I lose it no biggie!  :)

The store had about 5 of them left!

Perfect definition of " entry level".

Same here. They're simply too good to pass up at that price.

If I snag a few more at $15, I will probably sell them here at cost to those who missed out.

Shipping eats the "deal"  good giveaways. Or use as add on to other sales.

Glad to see so many getting in on this deal.  I started with a wingman/style cs deal last xmas then picked up the sidekick after xmas sale and have always felt much like Lynn about both tools.  I have since given away 2 wingmen and 1 sidekick and wouldn't hesitate to give away more of these very good tools.  I have the croc but have yet to put it to use though I'm looking for any opportunity to test this out.  I'll may head back over to HD to see if any are left and stash a few away for opportunities to introduce a newbee to LM and MTs.

As of an hour ago, there are still EIGHT of these sets at my local Home Depot. Wow.

I'm waiting to see if they drop to $15, then I'll buy more, if there's any left.

I snagged 2 recently at my local HD and there were about the same left.  Another close by had 10-15 left but I don't see those lasting long.

I checked FOUR different Home Depots in my area a couple days after Christmas and couldn't find a single one. :(
