Help with ReCharge.
on: February 03, 2014, 08:35:30 PM
As Leatherman really dissapointed me with this years ShotShow performance, I decided to take things in my own hands. I am very happy with the new surge, but it's good for work. I need something more subtle for normal life EDC. So I need a recharge, charge with rebar pliers.

There is one problem. In UK Charge TTi itself cost about 240$, rebar 80$ (and that's after a lot of shopping around). Ebay US doesn't help either since they ask customs charges at the checkout which makes it even worse.

Is there any chance someone from the US side of forum would be willing to help me? Either buying both tools and shipping them to me, or if that's a cheaper option (keep the leftovers) already swapped tools (I want to swap the plier head and the flat driver for the awl. I know that scissors need trimming but I can do that myself).
This would be my perfect MT but I can't afford this kind of money...

What would the real cost of such thing? Is Ebay the cheapest option or does someone have a nice sale somewhere? Any advice/help would be much appriciated.

I my self, can't help you much, but there's a guy here on the forums that has a Rebar (I think he still have it) for 35U$. Not sure if there is something Charge wise.

Ideally one person for both tools to cut down on postage. But thank you for your suggestion.

I have a new Rebar and a new Charge AL.  Let me know if you are interested and I am willing to ship them to you or find you another set.  Feel free to PM or email me.

I can't say I was every that pleased with the ground down scissors on my Wave version, so I ended up chucking them.

Edit: I've just noticed that I posted almost exactly the same response to your thread just yesterday
Sorry, I must be sounding like a stuck record.
