They start off fairly bright, but will dim to 50% initial output within maybe 15 to 30 minutes..
I would possibly give this a try for work as it would be handy for ticket writing,map reading in the car etc when hands free illumination wolud be a blessing the velcro would tack on to my body armour quiet easily
