Hi Guys
I have two knives at the moment on which I need to straighten the main blades.
One is a very old Indian pocket knife that I am restoring - Hopefuly some pics when I have finished.
The main blade is bent- Please see the pictures. I put a small nut in the gap to show how much it needs to move.
It is the mainblade that has the problem as it rubs up against the liner when you close it.
I have not worked out yet how to put the pictures where I want them in the post so I think they are all going to appear at the bottom

The second is a red Wenger Soldier.
This one has a small, annoying problem - Which I have tried to show it pics.
When you open the awl the main blade slides across a little towards the outside liner - so it is in line with the awl's tang. When you start to close the awl the main blade moves across even more and prevents the awl from closing - blunting its tip in the meantime of course.
The Wenger pictures are pretty crap - But hopefuly you know what I mean!!
I figured heat of some sort, leaving it clamped bent in the 'right' direction for 24hrs etc etc

But I dont know and I dont want to damage/snap them or bend them too much the wrong way

Anyway I figured you clever modders out there would know what to do
Thanks guys
Respnses and advice much appreciated.
