College EDC
on: February 09, 2014, 05:01:22 AM
This is what I carry with me to class every day, I can't stand not having the things on hand to take care of whatever things may come up day to day. This is especially true when these items are all I have since I have no real tool box or workshop. Any tips or critiques from those who know better than me? :D

Sorry for the low quality picture, my cell phone is the only camera I have. Thanks guys

At university I used to carry:
Wave+bit kit, multimeter, pocket scope, torch, stationery, paper, that day's lecture materials, laptop, lunch, water.

All in a bag that ended up being rather heavy for my half hour walk in.

My bag goes with me too, but that wouldn't have fit in the picture. I got sick of walking to class so I just take my bike. Oh and condoms here cost probably 3 times what they cost in a regular store along with everything else, the school raises the prices a ridiculous amount and it drives me crazy!

Is that a flashlight by the green lighter? Whats the thing between the wallet and rope?  I figured you already had a bag with school items but do you carry a pencil?  I actually like mechanical pencils and use a Zebra M 301 .5

Looks like you are pretty well sorted for the most part.  I would think powering your devices would be easy on campus but maybe portable power?  You can charge these devices at home and never worry about being short on battery life.

Thanks Aloha, the green thing up top is actually a generic 16gb usb drive and the light next to it is a Coast G10. Between the wallet and rope is a Ronson Jetlite butane lighter. I don't smoke but I like the look of this lighter and don't mind having it on me just in case(mostly to lend to others). I actually prefer to write with pencil, although it's usually a wood Dixon Ticonderoga because I really enjoy the way they write.

As for the portable power, I keep a charger in my bag as there is almost always an outlet available. But I do have a portable charger made by Royal that I carry, my uncle works for them and had given me one before they were sold in the US.
Thanks for the feedback :tu:
