Should we expect a SAK with TWO can openers for the next run? >:D

Doubling up on the same tools is just weird.  If I want backup components, I carry a backup SAK!  Makes more sense to me.

Now if one blade was serrated that makes more sense.  For certain uses a serrated blade can replace not having scissors, for some tasks anyway.

Regarding the red background, and rest colored thing, its not new.  He did the same for the copper line, it just didnt look as out of place on that.  I still think it would look nice on black.

As previously stated I think the red looks best- from a guy who ussually like blue better.

I don't like it at all when the shield is red but has no white outline.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the red shield at all.  It's okay on silver alox, but I'm just not a big fan of it on other colors.  But I do agree that it looks even worse (much worse!) with no white outline.

Now... on a side note: Are these "official" Victorinox colors?  That is... if someone were to try and collect colors released by Victorinox, should these be included?  Or would y'all consider these a custom sort of run?

I like the red shield  ;)

The colors are just standard colors as used for many other models.

Is another colour in the shield really sufficient for a limited edition?

It better be not more expensive than 50$, then:

So what is this Alox supposed to be called anyway? What's the intended use? I really don't like the tool load out or the colour scheme? The logo needs the white outline IMO. Why not create something somebody actually wants? Like a Farmer with inline Philips and Scissors? That would be an amazing 4 layer Alox. I'm sure that would sell more than is on offer at the moment...

It's just another classic and all too common example of a company not listening to their market base. I'll never figure it out. I believe some of it's laziness and some just plain ignorance...

From his Facebook page some new splash on the way...

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Ya the red/black is the best looking.  Still not to my taste but some people must like them.  Those blackish blurry ones in the middle are pretty bad looking though.  There are things you could do with 2 tone anodizing that could be awesome though... think tiger stripes or polka dots.   Just use adhesive sign vinyl for masks, lots of people do that on other aluminum goods like paint ball guns.

Actually this run black and red look a bit washed out in this picture.  For instance the one Mile/MWDP got recently the black is ... ... blacker? :P

Actually the whole batch looks a bit washed out/worn. Wonder why he went for that look.

Yer those blurry ones look awful, like it's been done with maker pen :-\
Orange and Black tiger stripe would be great as would camo TS :tu:

I'd like to see more 84mm customs produced.  Something like a Cadet with the reamer/awe that's found on the Pioneer.  It can replace the nail-file if there's enough room.  In addition, I'd like to see an Alox version of the Executive.

Its not a drop in fit so they wont put an awl in there.  The only other option is a Cadet II with the small blade for awl.

You wont see an 84mm carver either as the springs cant be reversed since its an asymmetrical design.  Not too much else really that can be done on that size, its a limiting frame which is why I abandoned modding them.

I never cared for any of the splash designs that I've seen, but for you guys that like them, you have many to choose from.

I guess the moddibility you lose on the 84mm, you get back from it's size/weight and easy carry.  Everything is a trade-off.  I really do love the Cadet platform.
