I didn’t know but the Mrs snuck something on the last order for me.. two of my models in my wish list, they should be pretty easy but come on tell me that tarantula isn’t cool looking, and no collection should be without a new York cab! No?

Finally bought a 'real' chain breaking tool after years of struggling with cheap chinese junk. I don't know why I still do this after all these years. Buy junk. I always end up with the decent tool in the end anyway, it costs more money to buy junk in the long run and you enable yourself with years of frustration. Not worth the money saving. Just isn't.

Bought a Creatrill brand neoprene ankle holster.  It is designed to carry a pistol and a magazine, but I am using it to hold a Knipex Cobra pliers.  My wife sewed the bottom edge of the main compartment closed to the pliers won't fall through.

Is that a utility knife version of a provoke karambit, but in brass? Did the designer do this?

How is it in terms of balance? It looks quite heavy (250gr) and the way you can just "flick" it open scares me a bit. I awlso don't like the blade being held by two screws. It takes a lot of time and you need another tool just to change a blade.

It’s definitely a heavy beast, certainly won’t be edc’ing it. Balance is ok, bit forward heavy but tbh hadn’t thought about it until you asked. Handle is a good size and allows good pressure above the cut

Flicking it is fun, takes a proper flick, doesn’t just open with a light movement, bit like playing with a flipper. Changing the blade took all of 30 seconds so don’t think that’s an issue.
Will be good for box opening and cutting. More of a curiosity than an everyday user but better than I was expecting so all good I reckon

Somehow over the past couple of months I've gone from owning no Opinels to owning a whole family of them.  They're wonderful knives for the price, and there's no good reason for anyone to not own at least one!!

Four of these I just got in from one Ebay auction for a crazy low price.  They'll be used in my camp kitchen.

No.7 at top, the three in the middle are No.8, with a No.10 at the bottom.

Just got in this neat little "Foreign" penknife.  8)  I read somewhere that "Foreign" was used instead of "German" at a time when that name was less than desirable.  Seller reckons mahogany covers but I wouldn't like to guess.  Taken a few minutes to clean and oil but still needs an edge.

Thanks. That is a Gardener model, and is quickly becoming my favorite. The handle shape carries slimmer, feels great in hand, and I love spear point. I wish it was offered in carbon, but I'm liking the INOX more than I thought I would.
