SMURF
on: March 28, 2014, 05:30:45 PM
For the smurfing sake. Last night at my jobsite. Some smurfing smurfs have been throwing rocks on to our forsale cars and caravans. For the smurfing sake, the only time that i take our company car, and go home with it. MY CAR is at our worksite. Totally of 10 cars and caravans have been object of this assault, AND MINE.... Son of a SMURF!!!! When i catch these SMURFS!!!
It has not been just our used car store, but car store next to us aswell... I don't know exactly how many of their cars have been assaulted. But value of this attack is going to be several tens of thousands of euros...

What in the name of SMURF are they thinking of...

When we catch these SMURFS? We are going to castrate them...

Usually this place is quite safe to live on. I never needed anything but casual insurances. Therefore i did not have insurance for this kind of attack for my car. This all is coming out of my own pocket for my own car, that someone deliberately attacked to... My poor Mondeo...

Don't worry about it at all man you have every right to be absolutely furious. There is no reason you should have to be dealing with this other than the pure stupidity of other people. I love my truck, its my favorite materialistic possession and if I was in your shoes I would be flipping out as well.

My car is something that i just have to have. It gets me where i need to be. I go to work with it, take my twins everyplace where needed(they are 18 months old right now), lots of places  needed to go to... (plus relatives)... Car itself is not worth much, but this incident costs about one third of prize of the car... Could have put that money in better place than that...

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

When you do send out the bill, charge for repairs, any rental fees you incurred, and any lost wages.  Poopy heads need a hobby.

If police catches them, I just hope they are old enough to carry all penalties. If they are just kids/minors, they just walk away without punishment or record of any kind. Damn coverment law...

I really hope that our cameras have gaught their faces...

I feel for you.

To me vandalism is just totally wrong, always has been, always will be.  Has to be a very sick mind that gets pleasure from damaging things that belong to other people.

I can understand (but not agree with) stealing, as the thief gets something of (possible) value, but anything a vandal gets is totally between the ears  >:(

I hope they get caught and made an example of, and their parents have to make proper restitution, that way they might (just might) pay a bit more attention to what their little darlings are up to.  With a bit of luck it might even deter some of their mates from doing anything similar.

I don't know about Finland. In Germany, minors might not get any penalities from the governmetns side, but their parents/legal guardians would be liable to pay the damage due to civil law.

I hope you get your money back and I hope you can use your car ASAP. Maybe you can convince your chef to use the companies car till then? All the best!

You are right. If minors do wandalism, their guardians are liable for their actions...

The car is usable as it is. Damages are rock hits in windshield and hood. There arent huge breaks, but tens of smaller cracks and hits on them.

I really feel your pain.

The village where I live is notorious for weekend binge drinking. During the day its lovely at night its like a war zone. As groups come from outside the village on a mass pub crawl!!
Drunks roaming the streets from one pub to another throwing glasses, vandalising cars etc etc.
Last spring I decided to clean the patio - spent all day. My partner came home from work and we were both planning on what we would do. My son (5 at the time) ran back to the house to go to the toilet, a split second.... And I mean a split second later a beer bottle landed exactly where he'd been stood a second before - he was actually just running under the deck roof at the time. The bottle exploded like a grenade glass went everywhere.

It took both me and my partner a second to work out what the hell had just happened. I realised and ran out onto the street and saw 3 youths walking away. I shouted what the hell were they doing to which the "leader"  turned round with 2 fingers and told me to f**k off!!

Beside myself with sheer rage I grabbed the nearest thing to hand which was a lump hammer I'd been using and ran up the street to smash his head in.. The neighbour who'd been cutting his hedge and had witnessed the whole thing grabbed me and pinned me against a parked up van. I was just beside myself with pure undiluted rage. All I could think was my son had very very nearly been disfigured for life.

Police were called, I gave a full ID on all three - the cop then said right, so what do you want us to do??
If we go and arrest him your property will very likely be smashed up within a week!!
I argued that the drunken scumbags were out of order and should be arrested. A heated argument broke out between me and the copper, in the end I said next time I wouldn't call them - instead I'd sort it myself to which I was then cautioned for using threatening behaviour.

Two days later we were watching TV when a bottle struck the window in the house - the window didn't break but the bottle did, glass went everywhere. I had to spend hours early the next morning trying to comb all the shards of glass out of the grass as my son wanted to go out and play.

I love my home, where I live, my neighbours why should I be forced to move because of scum and worse because the law won't stand up for innocent victims.

Eventually, this will end in a tragedy. I will confront these drunks, either get pasted or give a pasting either way no good will come out of it.

I really feel for you here crow. Its dispicable.

@tosh there is nothing, that i would not do for my childeren. I would do everything to make sure their playground is safe place to grow up. Me and my family live in rather quiet town, in suburban. Right in middle of housing residence. But just beside our house, there is bigger road, that goes straight through towns residence. People that go through that road, aren't that nice of a people.
Ewery day i am worried, what if some youth with their first car speeds through our yard... What if some drunken @ssh@le decides to come check, what is for dinner... My wife herself bought baseball bat just in case...

But in the end, this city i live in, is quite safe place to live in the end...
