here's a quick snap of the kits that have been following me around for many years... yet to finish either of them...

And I like muscle cars! You have to built them!  :pok:

Love that song and hear it at least once a day on the radio.  :tu:

good song, but badly mimed video... :(

I guess a fan merged a live video with the studio track here.
And nice song for sure. Although only born in `75 I really like music from the `70s.
Gonna take some Aerosmith with me to the workshop tonight.
Got some work to do on a 1:1 scale Kawasaki...

Ever since I saw this video I have REALLY been wanting to get one of these to put together. They're so cool!

Oh wow, that is freaking awesome! I like the six legged one better, but wow that is cool! And if Adam Savage thinks it is, you know it's gotta be! JR

The six legged one was my favorite as well, but honestly it would probably take me longer than a day to build. Expecially with the instructions in a foreign language.   ::)

Eiffel Towers done, that one was pretty easy, pretty much just fold and 32 tabs to connect, but was still fun! JR
Here's a pic,

Oh and how big is it? This should give you an idea, lol yeah, kinda small, that's what made it a little tricky. Used my mini spring loaded pliers, and one of those pic tools that the dentist use.

There's a few metal planes I want to build, only thing is that the scale size is going to be way off. No the only thing you said you liked was the Airfix and Revell models, mostly aircrafts. And amassed a collection of Warhammer 40'000 models, :P JR

Yes, but I call them the Grey Army - because they are made from grey plastic^^
We spent Saturday playing Descent (the RPG Boardgame thingy, not the PC game) so no pics, yet. I'm planning to paint a little on Sunday, will make some pics then.

But you keep on building! Not everyone can be as lazy as I am

I am a sci-fi nerd from way back, and did a Robotech Lancer Mospada rebadged (for insande, unknown reasons) in the U.S. as Go-Bots Ci-Kill.

To translate that somewhat more into english... THIS.

I built a few military models, mostly jet aircraft, and graduated into 3d computer models, eventually doing stuff like this:

Thanks.

I think I get the same thing out of doing 3d models that every gets from doing 'real' models, except, when I'm done, they don't take up space and collect dust.

3D models lack in the paint and glue fumes high dept.  :P

but nice work! I never had enough patience for 3D modeling software.

That's not a bug, it's a feature!
That happens to me so often, sometimes intentionally (different types to build in one kit) or unintentionally (as just happened to you).

But your lil scorpion is looking good!  :tu:

My parents once tried to get me to use the Testors non-toxic glue when I was younger, so I gave it a try.  Damn stuff wouldn't hold for smurf!  >:(  I built an A6M Zero with it, and the thing fell apart faster than a real one with a Hellcat on its tail would have......

I kind of miss building model cars.  I use to build them all the time when I was younger, but honestly can't remember the last time I built one.

That is so true! My one cousin of a cousin, that I met once was really into models and turned his mud/laundry room into his "model shop" and the only way to get into the garage was to pass though the shop, well needless to say after only having to walk like 8' from door to door you'd be shaking your head due to fumes! OMG were they bad, and normally I'm not one to complain!!  JR

Omg the last was in April, dang did I put this off.. Well I started working on the one I was almost finished with and finished. I kind saved the best for last, this one had the most parts out of the three metal ones, that and it's the wifes fav.. The next one I got is a plastic one of a airplane, so this one will have to be painted and glued as I go   So here's a pic of the one I just finished.. JR

I'd say it took a beating, but nice job! I haven't done any wood in ages, heck the last time I used wood was back in middle school,, and that was a bridge, you had to use a limited amount of 1/4" what ever it's called in order to stretch like a foot and hold real weight, I think mine topped out at 40lbs.. But the one thing that I was thinking of was magnum p.i. If anyone can remember it, Higgins made the model of the "bridge over the river Kwai" that I think would be a neat model to make! JR
