Any Info on The Pioneer Settler?

My mate just picked up what seems to be a new old stock Pioneer Settler (large and small blade, no other tools, 93mm) in red with the Vic logo, not just the Swiss Cross.

I was wondering if this was a particularly rare/desirable model as I'd never come across it before.

Ya the settlers are discontinued.

I never saw a red one with vic shield, only old cross. 

Ive seen silver alox with modern shield though before, like this.

I've seen these before.
I picked up a couple a few years back.
Not very common these days.
